Learning Technologies

If you are involved in education today, you are familiar with the terms Instructional Technology or Educational Technology. If we are to reach today's students, it is imperative that schools move away from being teaching institutions and concentrate on becoming learning institutions that involve and engage students as active participants in their own learning. I also believe that using technology in education should be about the learning and not about the technology and that is why our team is now the Learning Technologies Team. "Learning Technologies" seems to better exemplify who we are and why we exist. Learning Technologies is about engaging students in learning through appropriate technology when it is the best fit.
